Where to drink hot chocolate in Angers?

When it gets cold in Angers, there’s only one thing to do: warm up over a nice hot chocolate in a cosy location.

The colder it gets outside, the better it tastes. The snack is about to take on a whole new flavour!

Here’s a guide to our favourite hot chocolates in Angers to combat those winter blues. The perfect thing for an afternoon treat with friends, a romantic moment with your other half, or after a long walk around Angers city centre.

There are teas, juices and smoothies to choose from.

If you come here often for lunch or an afternoon snack, you can also enjoy a Sunday brunch.

2. The Back of the Spoon

At the back of the spoon, you’ll feel right at home. Mouth-watering aromas waft from the oven and whet your appetite.

You’ll be able to choose from a range of carefully concocted sweets that change daily. To accompany your praline-filled chocolate cake or pink praline brownie, nothing beats a hot chocolate for a 100% chocolate experience. In the form ofa chocolate lollipop in a variety of flavors (there’s something for everyone), you gently stir it into your steaming cup of milk.

Fun and tasty, a combination that’s bound to give you a banana!

Le chou is the story of Céline & Estelle, two pastry chefs at heart, for whom the pleasure of the palate is a priority!

The name of their establishment is a nod to the emblematic patisserie. Bringing all choux lovers together in one place for the pleasure of your taste buds.

The place is as magical as the food!

5. Chat'Lon de Thé

A tea room like no other has opened in Angers. As well as the sweet and savoury treats on offer, Chat’Lon de Thé is also a place where you can rub shoulders with cats.

If you fall in love with one of them at first sight, you’ll even be able to adopt it! That’s because Marylène and Sarah, the two managers, have partnered with a number of associations to offer these cute little fur balls for adoption.

It’s a calm, friendly place that invites you to relax; you’ll be lulled to sleep by the purring of the felines, and can try the wide choice of hot chocolates, teas, coffees and syrups, or opt for a savoury dish at lunchtime.
