Central Angers route : travel through time
From the Middle Ages to Haussmann and Art Deco buildings, Angers city centre is bursting with architectural gems. Set off from the Conference Centre to Place Imbach where you can visit the fantastic Natural Science Museum!
Go up Rue Lenepveu via the beautiful Pincé Museum to Place du Ralliement and its Grand Théâtre. You have two options: the Blue House with its beautiful 1920s mosaic design at the top of Rue d’Alsace or the half-timbered Adam’s House on Place Sainte-Croix.
After venturing into Saint-Martin Collegiate Church, the Fine Arts Museum or David d’Angers Gallery – all local art and history hotspots – dive into the old town’s streets between the cathedral and château. Take a tour of the château to gaze at the famous Apocalypse Tapestry. Keep a look out for the “blue line” on the ground which leads you to Angers landmarks.
