    This trail takes you to two towns on the banks of the Mayenne, in the heart of the Basses Vallées Angevines, a Natura 2000 site. Montreuil-Juigné, which boasts 2 locks, and Cantenay-Épinard, at the confluence of the Sarthe and Mayenne rivers, are rich in natural heritage, and since 2015 have been part of the new "Vélo Francette"...

    This trail takes you to two towns on the banks of the Mayenne, in the heart of the Basses Vallées Angevines, a Natura 2000 site. Montreuil-Juigné, which boasts 2 locks, and Cantenay-Épinard, at the confluence of the Sarthe and Mayenne rivers, are rich in natural heritage, and since 2015 have been part of the new "Vélo Francette" cycle tourism route linking Normandy to the Atlantic.

    Tourist attractions :
    - The Mayenne towpath runs alongside the river between the two communes.
    - The Montreuil-Belfroy lock, 34m long, was once used to transport raw materials for the flour mill.
    - The hamlet of "Vieux Cantenay", on the banks of the Sarthe, is home to such fine residences as Château de Grand Vaux and La Hautvraie.

    - Toilets and picnic tables on the banks of the Mayenne at Cantenay-Épinard
    - Toilets (when the campsite is open) and picnic tables near the Montreuil-Juigné campsite.

    - Trail not passable during flood periods
