The old 18th-century Presbytery building in Savennières has a room known as the “Salle des toiles peintes”, housing a great many oil-painted canvas panels. They are estimated to have been produced in the 1770s, by painter Marie-Louis-Claude Coulet de Beauregard, commissioned by the Priest Halnost, in charge of the parish at the time of its construction.
