From the heart of Angers, discover the perfect balance between city and nature. From the Lac de Maine leisure park to the Etang Saint-Nicolas and the Parc de Balzac, enjoy the calm and tranquillity of the area.

Tourist attractions :
- The Lac de Maine leisure park is divided into several landscape units covering more than 220 ha. The lake offers a wide range of leisure activities, including water sports, swimming, fishing and nature outings. The towpath, meanwhile, is much used by cyclists on the "Loire à Vélo" and "Vélo Francette" cycle routes.
- The Parc de Balzac boasts no fewer than 11 themed areas and as many landscapes: marshes, traditional pastures, a collection of grasses and allotments. A veritable conservatory of flora and fauna in these floodplain meadows, the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux has listed 66 species of birds.
- The Saint-Nicolas parks, a link between town and country, cover more than 112 hectares in the heart of the city. It was Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou, who decided to dig the pond with the intention of creating quarries and installing mills along its banks. He also had the Abbey of Saint-Nicolas built and gave the surrounding territories to the monks.
- La Vilnière, a small stream just outside the commune of Beaucouzé, once fed a wire-drawing mill, the ruins of which can still be seen along the path.

Practical information :
- Public transport stops less than 500m from departure points
- Trail not passable during flood periods
- A footbridge is available for hikers to cross the La Vilnière stream before the D106 departmental road. This is not passable during periods of flooding.
