The Ecluse de la Roussière is a lock offering a superb view of the Mayenne river. The site of La Roussière was once home to a fortress protecting the entrance to the Mayenne. One of its towers could still be seen at the beginning of the 16th century, on a high mound overlooking the river. The site was also an important place for milling from the 19th to the 20th century.
