Right at the heart of Anjou, on a small island in France's last untamed river, a village stands out with its relaxing atmosphere… Béhuard. The island of Béhuard is at an average altitude of 17 m above sea level and is enfolded by both arms of the River Loire. The island is a wonderful orientation table to see the gentle Anjou landscapes.
This "Little City of Character" is the only island in the Loire to be a municipality in its own right. Only one hundred people live here all the year...
