After serving a 3-year apprenticeship, Loïc Mahé took over a small piece of land in the Savennières wine growing area. With the help of local winegrowers, he built his vineyard, planting his first vines in 2000. Gradually taking over further plots of old vines in the Coteaux de l'Aubance and the Savennières, he has created the Domaine de Gué d'Orger: 25 acres of Chenin and Cabernet grapes, located on banks of the Loire, to the south of Angers.
