Destination Angers is a locally owned public corporation (SPL), founded on 1 January 2018 with a capital of €1.5 million. It was formed by the merging of two semi-public companies Angers Loire Tourisme and Angers Expo Congrès.
The current organisation as an attractiveness agency for tourism and business allows Destination Angers to ensure consistent promotion for both the city’s event hosting and organisation offering for corporate and general public events (trade fairs, symposiums, conventions, seminars, corporate events, gala dinners, conferences, etc.), and the tourism offering in the Angers area.

Destination Angers manages the Jean Monnier Convention Centre, Angers Exhibition Park and the Tourist Office for the Angers area.
In keeping with our purpose, our action is structured around ambitious missions, for which our different facilities provide the venue, with key support from cross-functional support services: Information Systems, Admin & Finance department, HR, Maintenance Operations department, Monitoring Centre, Press, Internal and External Corporate Communications.
With the support of local partners
Destination Angers is owned by exclusively local partners: Angers City Council, the Urban Community of Angers Loire Métropole, the Department of Maine-et-Loire, and the Pays de la Loire Region. Destination Angers also involves tourism and events industry professionals in its actions through the Tourism, Business Travel and Events Club and an ambassadors programme.
Its objectives are to federate the energies of the Angers area to drive local initiative, to share a set of values and the unique assets of the destination, and to co-construct an ambitious development strategy for Angers and its region.

Tourism, business tourism and events club*
The ambassador programme
*Tourism partners and providers belonging to the Tourism, Business Travel and Events Club meet at least once a year to learn about the results and outlook of Angers Loire Métropole’s tourism policy. This “Technical Tourism Committee” can formulate opinions for the administrators of Destination Angers (a local public company) in accordance with Article R 133-19 of the French Tourism Code.
